Based in Ontario, Buntin Reid specializes in the distribution of some of the world’s leading fine paper products
throughout the province. They are exclusive or semi-exclusive distributors for many of the industry’s innovators.

Commitment

The senior management of the Domtar Distribution Group – Buntin Reid, JBR La Maison du Papier and The Paper House - is committed to the implementation and maintenance of the chain-of-custody standards of the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC), the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification systems (PEFC) and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) in our facilities located in: Toronto and Ottawa, Ontario, Montreal and Quebec City, Quebec and Halifax, Nova Scotia. These transparent systems provide purchasers of the products we distribute, bearing the FSC, SFI or PEFC trademarks, the assurance that they have been manufactured using wood fibre from independently audited, legal and sustainable sources. Our certification to these standards was undertaken purely on a voluntary basis.

Compliance

We further commit to full compliance by: conducting periodic reviews of our material handling processes from receipt to invoice, conducting regular product/process training for our sales and sales support staff and through full cooperation during annual renewal audits.

Continual Improvement

Our chain-of-custody processes will remain transparent and will be reviewed periodically by the Domtar Distribution Group management to ensure the ongoing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the system in sustaining compliance, achieving desired performance standards, and improving environmental stewardship. We will also provide leadership in working with all partners to comply with these same principles.
